Custom Assistants

A custom assistant is a chatbot that includes custom instructions. This can be useful if you want to utilise the TrueState AI Assistant’s data tools, but also want it to understand your specific business logic or organisational operation procedures.

The custom assistant has access to the query tool, the report writer tool, the embedding search tool, and the web search tool. These tools can be combined with bespoke or custom datasets to unlock complex agenting tooling.

Creating a custom assistant

From the Assistants page, click the create new assistant button

Field	Value
Name	The display name of the bot
Description	A user description of the bot
Prompt	The custom bot instructions. Use this to specify what the bot should do and how it should behave. Specify any required datasets or queries if necessary.

Using a custom assistant

To use your custom assistant, simply select it from the drop down box in the chat display. All messages will be rerouted to your custom assistant, rather than the Default TrueState AI Assistant.
